Abstract: “How cool is it, if we can have an Web service that tells me where I can find the nearest Chicken Rice stall?”

This question gave birth to Project Nimbus. Project Nimbus is Asia’s first community inspired data marketplace.. It is a community project that seeks to make data available to innovators. The content providers spans across public and private sectors, including LTA, HungryGoWhere.com and other. Right now Project Nimbus is powering at least 8 production applications. In this presentation, we will like to share our learning, observation and our perspective on how open data will drive the next wave of innovation.
